A day at the Farm

We took our annual PreK trip to the farm last week.  So much fun as usual, but this time I got to enjoy it with my Sophie!

She enjoyed feeding the calves their milk.

I think this was her favorite part.  She asked me if we could get one of those little goat "thangies" for our house.

Soft wooly sheep.

She had to get a little swinging in after lunch before we traveled home.  It was a beautiful day at the farm.

Cherish the moment and a kitchen redo

I don't know how long this will last, but lately my girls have wanted to dress alike so I am taking every picture possible.  My mom brought these dresses back from Nicaragua at Christmas time, when she went on a Mission Trip.  Sophie is going to wear hers for her birthday celebration because it has rainbow flowers on it.

Then we ordered matching Kelly's Kids outfits this time.  Haven't done this in a while, but Lily said she wanted the same as Sophie, so JOY for me!

And then there is the kitchen.  My kitchen has been wood paneling since we moved in 7 years ago.  Finally, we painted it.  So now, I am trying to redecorate and I am at a loss.  I have put a few more things up now, but I won't take another pic til I feel good about it.  Any hints or suggestions out there?

Cant get enough of the ducks!

I had the honor of being the art teacher at a birthday party one Saturday in April.  We had the best time creating Easter Basket Pictures.  Look how cute!!!

We invited Becca over to meet our ducks.  At first she just looked at Sophie holding it, then she got brave and held it.  They had fun playing with the new pets.

A Few More Ducky Shots!

Love their duckies!

Lily's would climb up her chest and nuzzle in her neck.  So funny!

Sophie tucked hers in her top like it was made for ducks.

Here they are bathing, with the dogwoods in the background!

This one is about a week later.  Look how fast they are growing.  They will be on Nanny and Poppy's pond before we know it.

An Easter Wreath Attempt

Mamaw Sally always used these grapevine wreaths to decorate her doors.  She gave Scott and me this one when we got married.  We've been married for almost 11 years now, so needless to say the original flowers were worn.  So instead of throwing away this precious memory of Mamaw Sally, I decided to remake it in an Easter Wreath.  Some of my favorite memories of her  are at Easter.  She had the BEST house to Hunt Eggs.

Michaels had the egg garland and letters. I had the purple tulle.  So here it is.  Maybe I will add some little elements every year to make it better.  Still not sure if I should have added the letters.  Opinions?

Daddy T's Surprise!

Early Saturday morning, Daddy T drove by in the big company truck so he took the girls for a spin.  Then he came back a while later with a Big Surprise!

BABY DUCKIES!!!!  This is when a picture speaks a thousand words!

Look at the proud look on dad's face!  Too CUTE!!!

Lily named hers Buck!

Sophie started our with Donald, then Daisy, and the final name is Minnie Mouse!

Sophie at Bat!

Yes, we are wearing a skirt to tball practice!  This is her very first time to bat.  She did really great for not knowing any of the rules for playing ball and never having done it before.

Mr. Casey shows her how to hold her bat.

Contact!!!!

So here, they were told to hit about 4 balls then everybody run and gather them.  When the team got back together to play a mock game, it came Sophie's turn to bat.  She hits the ball and instead of running to first base, she runs to get the ball and bring it back to her coach!  And that is why we play tball!  Fun STUFF!!!

Chest Redo!

So I have had this trunk since Scott and I got married but I am trying to lighten up things in our house.  So here is my attempt at it.

My friend Carla gave me this sample paint so this is the color I chose to paint it.  Then I added a walnut stain on top of it to age it a little.

So this is how it turned out.  Opinions?

Hey, Mike!!!

So on our little trip to Baton Rouge, Scott decided it was time for us to meet Mike the Tiger.  He had seen him many times, but us girls have never mat him.  Scott is the best daddy ever!!!  He enjoys coming up with surprise experiences for his girls, me included.  We are so spoiled!!!

A friend of mine was talking to me about her children and things they used to do and one of them was taking them to different college campus' so they could see what colleges were.  So I guess this is our first visit.  Not that we played it up real big as that, but now they can say they have seen a college campus.

Everybody has to have a pic on Mike.  I even have one of Scott riding Mike tucked away somewhere!

This one is funny, but the next one is even funnier.  Check out Sophie's face.  It looks like she is taking pleasure in Mike eating Lily's head.

That is one fierce face, isn't it?

But then look at this big ol cat.  This is what Mike does when Sophie is screaming WAKE UP MIKE!!! It was hilarious!  She started yelling at him and just flipped is paw over his face, like, Would you be quiet!!!

Memories, Memories!!!
