To Grandmother's House we go!

We went to visit my Mamaw Belle today.  Yes, this is the lady I am nicknamed after and so I guess my blog's name is based on this sweet lady.  We had a nice visit and took her to lunch.

As we headed back, we had to make a stop at Office Depot for my dad and there was a Freight Harbor Store.  Look what I picked up!  Can't wait to make stuff with it!!!

What I wore to Dinner Wednesday

So I catch the Pleated Poppy blog all the time and love seeing her What I wore Wednesday posts.  Some friends of ours took us to dinner last night and this is what I wore.  Thought I would post and link up to her blog.  I have done it wrong the first time, so now she is gonna have two thumbnails from me.  I wish I could delete the first one.  I am such a nerd.  Anyway, heres the outfit I wore and the breakdown:
dress: Belk
cardi and boots: Stage
wrap belt: from Lily's flower girl dress
brooch: Belk
Bracelet: Beehive

Dinner was Fabulous!  Shrimp and Grits, Mushroom soup, Grilled Grouper, and Choc. Flourless Cake.
OH MY!

Yay Christmas!

Enjoying each other!

This juice has become one of our family traditions.  We went as a family for the first time to Disney World, 3 years ago, and we love to go to the Polynesian for the Lilo and Stitch Breakfast.  The juice they serve is called "P.O.G" juice.  Lily says it is THE MOST delicious juice on Earth.  So that is what I put together on Christmas Day, along with bacon, biscuits, and a Butterbraid Pastry.  The "POG" stands for Passion Fruit, Orange, and Guava.  I mix together equal parts and it is YUMMY!

It was a TOMS Christmas at our house.  Lily got her first pair!  I can't believe my 8 year old can wear a women's 5.5.  I got my 3rd pair!  LOVE them!
A NEW tradition!  Our church did a candlelight Christmas EVE service.  I hope they continue to do this service every year.  It was such a peaceful, calming activity to celebrate and honor the TRUE meaning of Christmas!  My parents enjoyed it too!

You can tell Lily was a little apprehensive holding a candle.

llOur Beloved December Birthdays!

This year Scott asked for Muddy Buddies as his special Birthday sweet.  Sophie helped shake it up!

Lily made a GIANT rice krispy treat for him and decorated it.

This is our second year to go see Santa on Scott and my dad's birthday.  Yes, my dad and my husband share a birthday.

The birthday boys got a birthday sopapilla at TaMolly's!

Christmas Traditions

The picking of the Hallmark Ornaments.  After much toiling of which one to pick, the girls finally decided on the Bluebell Fairy and Repunzel.  Very good choices!
I went to my Aunt Lisa's this weekend to make a few little goodies.  Here is what I did.  Upper left is a teabag holder with Gingerbread Spice Tea.  Didn't even know they made that.  Upper right is a tealight holder card.  How cute is that!  Bottom Left is Snowman Soup (Cocoa mix).  Bottom Right is a sour cream pouch, homemade of course, with kisses in it.  Had a good time making some scrappy stuff.

Disney Princess' on Ice!

One of my girls' favorite things is ice skating!
And Sophie's favorite is PRINCESS'!
So we surprised them with tickets to Princess' on Ice.
Look at Lily's face too, priceless, since she is the one that "doesn't like" princess'.
It thrilled us to see those faces so happy.

Tinkerbell glided around with glitter flying out of her wand EVERYWHERE she went.  My next project is to either find or create two of those for a surprise Christmas present.  Scott will LOVE that!
The Seven Dwarfs were too cute!

Belle is MY favorite princess.  She was the first SMART BRUNETTE princess you know.

                                                                  Lily is still Smiling!
The Grand Finale had fireworks.  Imagine that, Disney has to have fireworks!
I think the grandparents liked it too!

Secret Gift

Well, I have come up with an idea, but I can't share it totally yet.  So I will give a clue.  My 4 year old comes home singing one song in particular everyday that she has learned from her teacher this year.  It has 8 verses.  So I really want to do a small gift to represent each verse.  Thought it would be fun.  If I am successful in gathering these things, I will share all my ideas.
